BRIEF HISTORY (WHY THE CAUCUS WAS FORMED)

Our Country Ghana stands at a cross road, seeking to establish its socio-political identity and to chart a sustainable path for socioeconomic development and social progress Unfortunately after the 2016 election, the governance process of “Father for all” was replaced overnight with “Occupy Ghana” where family, friends, relative and party stalwarts coagulated to rule. It is now clear that Akyem Mafia with its extreme militant posture, has come with the policy of “drink deep or taste not” , where corruption becomes an important instrument.' We therefore decided in 2017 to form a Think Tank - Caucus for Democratic Governance- Ghana (CDG-GH) within Social Democratic inclinations, to control Governance.

MISSION

The Caucus for Democratic Governance seeks to influence the decision-making or policy formulation by governments in accordance with accepted norms of participatory democracy and rule of law.

VISION

The main activities of the pressure group CDG-GH shall be driven by its uncompromising dedication to giving “Voice to the Voiceless” of the large majority of Ghanaians whose hopes and aspirations keep on dwindling due to socioeconomic policies skewed to the economic benefits and welfare of a minority few of the society, by contesting the political economy, based on “Trickling down of Wealth”.
